Day Work

Dazzled by the day work, you slide
As you speak, working like the clock,
Bereavement has avoided you,
And you are speaking faster to me.
Dawn catches you in mid-flight,
The fee of the fly attached to my bill.
A kaleidoscope of beautiful images arise
From all of the cancers and drugs.
You dazzle and deserve all who visit,
This day work refuses to halt me.
