Spinning

My head is spinninng at a million miles an hour.
I'm lost and confused,
and better left for dead.
Everytime I think I have her in my grasp.
It's nothing more than a mirage.
Once again only believeing what I wanted.
I tell myself you're a stupid fool.
You know she wants no part of you.
A master of deception I am to myself.
Defended by all the rhyme and reason I've stored up on the shelves.
I let myself get tricked again,
but alas it's all my fault.
I'm no ones angel or warm safe place to hide.
I'm just useless little old me for which you shouldn't cry.
You see I'm not worth the time your head would go on spinning.
Just ask anyone I've ever loved,
theey'll tell you I'm a dog.
