If I Was You
If I was you I'd treat me much better than you do.
I'd have you see that kindness is the key.
I hope that one day you'll agree.
You'll rarely find a man so kind.
Who love you so that he is blind.
To all the slights that truly grind.
If I was you I'd take a chance.
On something that could be real romance.
Don't go all the way to France.
Just to find someone to share the dance.
If I was you I could clearly see,
that I'm the one who holds the key.
If I was you I wouldn't be so obtuse.
Thinking that there are better men way out there.
I'm right here and not so square.
So please wake up.
Your time is almost up.
I'm tired of your excuses, so just shut up.
