Red Light

I don't know why I stop at the red light
At night
Maybe just to avoid a confrontation with
The boys in blue
Maybe it doesn't care if I stop
Does it mind if I ran it?
I don't think it would care
I hate waiting
Just a bright red sun
Shining down upon me
Kind of like my mother
When her face permeated
The same angsty rage
But the light doesn't know
About that
Itll turn green eventually
