Underlings

You've been following me,
For almost sixty years now...
Asking me the same question!
And the answer has not changed.
It has not changed.
It will not change.
It's NEVER going to change!
Don't you have something else to do,
With 'your' life?

'Oh my!
Getting a bit 'testy'?
Above ourselves,
Are we?

Some people get a 'lttle' attention,
And start acting as if...
They get annoyed by us,
'Underlings'.

Well...
Let me tell you this,
Mister One Poem Writer...
Don't you try to forget where you came from!
I know your shoe size!
So you aint 'all that' to me.
You got that?

Don't you try to forget where you came from!
I can't wait to tell some folks,
What you said to me today!
The NERVE.'

GOOD!
And you can give me back those shoes,
I bought for you...
Anytime you want.
Leech.
And 'how' can I forget where I came from?
You're always up in my face.

'Don't try to apologize.
You aint hardly nobody.
You got that? And besides...
I've got things to do.
AND...
Places to go.
C-ya! '

Hmmm,
'Underlings'.
I'm going to use it.
And they say this place is dead.
There is no creative spirit around here.
I beg to differ.
'Underlings'?
I love it.
