This Is An Independent Production

For you,
There is a need to keep me reminded...
That I don't 'act' right.
Or do those things you find suitable.

And I've decided,
If you did not like my performances...
Why do you bother to solicit my attention,
By the mentioning of your dislike for my act.

If you say I don't 'act' right,
Why is that of your concern?
Unless you are hinting,
I will see less of you around?

That's a relief.
Because you know I follow my own script?
And I seek no one to direct me!
This is an independent production.

Take it or leave it.
I've spent most of my life,
Getting to this stage of it.
And I do not cater to hecklers.
