That Giving Of Love

I wish those times we had caressed,
Would return and with respect.
As if there were special effects,
To help us forget we had values invested.
Instead pf beginning to interpret love,
As a meaning to confine and imprison it.
That which we intentionally wanted to be free.
With an unconditional love no one else shared,
But that giving of love involved more than just me.
And falling from your priority list,
Has left me crushed as if a gutter has given me birth,
With an awakening to accept...
To you I have less worth than dirt.
