Sisyphean

I have felt sisyphean.
Like Sisyphus,
A legendary king of Corinth.
Condemn to repeat the rolling of a boulder,
Uphill!
To have it roll back down as it nears the top.
I had felt that way until I stopped.
Realizing after wiping sweat off my brow...
Why am I allowing this and to whose amusement?
I could whittle this obstacle down,
To then make steps.
Taking on far easier challenges to accomplish.
Than those I already know are monotonous,
With nothing to motivate a desired achievement wished.
