Refreshing To Say It
It has been a long time,
Since I was in my 20's.
The 30's are a blur.
And I've forgotten about my 40's.
I just remember feeling older,
Than I did in my 50's.
Now that I am almost in my mid 60's...
People approach me with memories,
They still have of their youth.
As if to cling onto those years,
With a fear of letting them go.
I never thought about the process of age.
Or try to defy the advancement of it.
I am grateful to be able to be alive to say...
'What in the hell is going on? '
And not really care.
It's just refreshing to say it.
