Joked, Stroked and Ushered

Actively a unity desired has been picked apart.
The notion that it would automatically occur without effort...
With those standing on the sidelines watching,
To scrutinize and criticize...
Would begin the start of a communal embrace,
Stares them in the face with a reflected disgrace.

Even in their places of worship they sit divided.
And they wonder why,
Those good things in life from them have departed!
To leave them high and mighty with ego.
And a life lived desert dry.
In the comfort of licking self inflicted wounds.

If they are not encouraged with nourishment,
That's what happens.
How can one expect flowers to grow...
When the emphasis has been focused,
On one's addiction given to weeds.

How can one speak of the benefits of Sunshine,
When everything done to those who bring it...
Makes them feel unwelcomed and wish to leave!
As their activities and good deeds done,
Are often criticized and shunned by a collective of jealous ones.
Who have become accustomed to provoke,
Their own downslide joked, stroked and ushered.
