It is amazing what we buy to eat

It is amazing what we buy to eat.
And feed upon to treat.
As if in the digesting
The heights of mental nutrition,
Automatically nourishes.
Because we are told,
A flourishing of knowledge
Is being fed to us to keep.

It is amazing how easily we believe,
That which is authorized
Is dispensed without deceit.
And when we become emotionally affected
How quick we are directed,
To seek the suggested remedy!
With a curing done,
That leaves us addiction free.
