Insight Without Feistiness
Why I should I host,
A disgust I hold?
After years of acknowledging,
A faith I trust has boldened my soul.
Too much of nothing,
Surrounds and makes attempts...
To narrow and close my eyes.
Emphasis on lust and decadence,
Blocks out the Sun...
As if clouds darken the skies.
Why should I host,
Those who boast only about themselves.
I did that myself when I was younger.
But as I matured,
I peeled away pretense and lies.
I've spent too many years,
Self examining with a consciousness.
And freeing myself of nonsense...
To lay insecurities I had at rest.
Have I become jaded,
With the experiences to me that came?
Am I too observant of thoughtlessness,
Quick by others to vocalize.
Offending as this is displayed.
Have I become too old to critique?
As a feistiness within me fades?
Have I become too concerned with grace?
To prove I can do this as I age!
Why I should I host,
A disgust I hold?
After years of acknowledging,
A faith I trust has boldened my soul.
I should let go of this,
As a feistiness within me fades.
I should let go of this,
To prove I can show...
How gracefully I can grow older.
With an insight without feistiness,
As I age!
