I'd Rather Swim In It Or Drink Water

I do not seek to be anyone's spokesman.
Or elected to hold any office to represent a cause.
I'd rather swim in it or drink water than to walk on it!
And if I am to be judged...
Judge me for my ability to remain truthful.

Being nice and polite...
And expressing social graces to be invited,
Where others of influence gather in pretense....
Is not a goal I am wishing to achieve.
I've never confused popularity with privacy.
