I Once Couldn't Get Enough Of You

It's strange how you aint on my mind no more.
Strange I don't feel you,
Like you at my front door.
And absent is any thought I have of you.
This is good news.
Maybe far away from my neighborhood,
You have moved!

It's funny now that I don't have to roll my eyes.
I don't have to prepare my lips for a frown,
'Cause I'm glad you're not around.
It's also less of a grief when I go to sleep.
Before I couldn't do that.
Because in my mind you wouldn't leave!

I hope and pray everyday is like this.
The longer you stay away,
Brings my life much happiness.
And to think it seems as if it was recently...
That I once couldn't get enough of you,
When you told me I was all you ever would need.
But today I'm so glad...
You thought enough of me,
To have left all this fresh air to breathe freely.
