Holding Onto Reopened Wounds
With judgements made and passed...
With the sands of time,
Produced and watched through an hour glass.
Quickly reminds those who live...
How precious these slipping moments,
We have do not last.
And how important it is...
To appreciate and let live.
Removing to step away...
Any shallowness another gives.
It becomes a priority for those aware,
That a time spent with none to spare,
In bickering conflicts...
Achieves only stagnation.
And one fixed in it,
Goes absolutely nowhere.
Only to receive the breathing of despair,
Done as if good cookies are munched!
And put there as an attempt made by some,
To stay stuck in a gloomy atmosphere...
With backs hunched and limbs to limp.
To keep the slinging of mud in the air.
Holding onto reopened wounds...
As fresh evidence,
Feelings remain hurt.
Excusing the throwing...
Of old collected dirt.
And there to keep the familiarity of it unchanged.
As an aged document to relive,
To dust and revisit.
Without benefit of a mental uplift.
Hoping to demoralize,
Anyone displaying a freedom expressed,
In a deserved happiness one gets.
By the leaving behind,
Any confines one had in lost times!
