Heat Leaps and Engulfs
I had a need to have what I wanted.
Diluted substitutes...
Had no priority in my mind,
To adjust to get use to...
Not here to quiet my curiosities.
I had a need to have what I wanted.
'Be thankful for what you have.'
My wonderful mother always said to me.
As she teased my sisters...
And me,
Why should we settle for second best?
Although...
'Be thankful for what you have.'
You see how the teasing of a test,
Can infest as it manifests?
Few settle for less,
When the mind has been awakened,
To know...
Better,
By suggestion.
I had a need to have what I wanted.
Diluted substitutes...
Had no priority in my mind,
To adjust to get use to...
Not here to quiet my curiosities.
I had a need to have what I wanted.
And to get!
And did what I could to find it.
Only to discover something even better...
Every time I thought my wants and needs,
Were fulfilled to satisfy a complacency.
Although never succumbed by compliancy.
Where is the winning done...
When choosing between dilemmas?
Hmmm...
Desires and fires are like whims without end.
Heat leaps and engulfs,
Those hungry and compassionate.
And ready...
To blaze!
