Encouraged and Given Nourishment

Remember when I chose to walk to your home?
When was the last time you chose to walk to mine?

Remember when I would call you just to say hello?
The last time you called me...
Was to say something shallow.
With a gossiped emptiness to the content of it.

Remember when I was a true friend to you.
And you took for granted my intent?

Well...
There's no mistaking what is there between us now.
I declare it distance.
One that has been encouraged and given nourishment.
