Enamored

I can understand,
Someone being enamored...
By the effects of the 'after'.
But it is always the 'before',
People choose to ignore...
Without knowing what it takes,
To get to that place...
Where the 'after' has acceptance.

I've been there and too aware,
What I must do to protect...
That which I respect.
Since the awaiting for it to happen,
Has taken too long to materialize...
For me not to acknowledge or realize,
My blessings.
And from 'Whom' they came to be bestowed.
