Empathetic With Sensitivities
If I had nothing to say,
It would seem to me...
There would be much more,
I could offer.
IF I had effective tunnel vision.
Being empathetic with sensitivities,
Creates obstacles that delay...
A direction I'm determined to take,
That separates my heart from my head.
And instead of remaining focused,
I am a sucker for a sob story.
And before I know it...
Someone with sympathetic eyes,
Has me caught up in their life.
If I had nothing to say,
It would seem to me...
There would be much more,
I could offer.
At least I would feel more productive,
If I was less seduced...
By those who perceive,
Their lives reduced...
By the ones that are pointed out as thoughtless.
