Consider This

First,
Let me say this...
To counter what you just said.
And then when I am finished...
We both can leave,
To sleep peacefully in separate beds.

I should consider what?
Letting go of the past?
Since what has happened,
You realize was trash?
That sounds good if seen on TV.
But my heart can not let go...
What was not done to you,
But actually done to me!

I should consider what?
The fact that you were younger.
And having fun at my expense?
With my life on the line...
And you doing things that made no sense?

I see.

Your activities alienated from me,
Friends I had then.
And relatives who believed I could deceived,
No longer can look me straight in my eyes...
Because of your venom filled backstabbing lies?
And you want me to do what?
Consider forgiving you?

I forgave you the moment I knew,
I will never let you forget...
Those things done you will regret.

I did not take it upon myself to ruin you.
That was 'your' move!

Because I was thoughtless, self centered...
With excuses to make to blame on my youth.

I didn't have that luxury!
Again...
That was 'your' move!

Consider this...
Heard directly from me,
With assistance from my lips.
I am going in 'that' direction!
And from me...
You will be dismissed!

C-ya!
Wouldn't want to be ya!
