Completely Depleted of Energy

Completely depleted of energy,
That is how one will be left.
Out of breath and self respect...
When letting some get too attached,
To a willingness given to them...
Who take every step,
Someone has made for their advantage...
To allow being taken for granted to come next.
And become one's duty done,
To enhance the awaiting of another's expectation.

Someone should have told this Cinderella,
The requests from a step-mother...
Is in a reality that is nonexistent.

And...
It may be too late,
For a teaching to take place...
If the teacher has given permission,
For the skills of manipulation...
To be used by a prized pupil.
Thinking mistakes as blatant as this...
As part of the curriculum!
When as an elective,
This foolishness...
Should not have been permitted.

Someone should have told this Cinderella,
The requests from a step-mother...
Is in a reality that is nonexistent.

When intolerance for this behavior,
Should have been long corrected...
As not acceptable.
And a 'no-no' one poses.
Instead of repeatedly giving into this,
As a passing grade.

If one is completely depleted,
Of energy because of this...
The depletion achieved may be well deserved.
