Chips and Cheese

With a looking around done.
And surveying their current circumstances,
Comments from them are heard...
'Why have we been isolated and abandoned? '

And an old man approaches,
As if to make an announcement!
And does.
He says...

'You all remember when,
You believed you were the chips and cheese?
And you perceived yourselves,
To be the beginning and the end of all?
And with that you snubbed others,
Although deluded but highly pleased!
You all remember that, don't cha?

Well,
Those who you thought...
Wanted to get near to touch your garments,
Were actually the ones you made sick...
With a wish to vomit!
And have found all of you,
Worthy enough to leave.'

And that old man,
With a twinkle in his eye...
Left them and the scene.
And from the distance screamed...

'FOOLS TODAY!
And FOREVERMORE.'
