As People Come to Whisper

Violence begets more of it!
To assume it can be combatted,
With an increase of it to release...
Invites havoc, chaos,
Not peace.
Show me an example,
Where those who fought as enemies...
Sat to eat to enjoy themselves at a feast!
But metals and honors and flags are drapped,
To respect death in quiet cemetaries...
As people come to whisper.
Tear up and then regrettably leave!
Believing these scenes are a part of someone's victory!
Over what?
And for whose ego to reign over who?
To do it all over again...
To prove what?
It can be done over and over and over without end?
