After-Thoughts

I have no 'after-thoughts'.
Like some who may sit,
With wishes they had picked...
A different way to say what they feel.
In a selected way to express it.

I may suffer from foot in mouth disease,
From time to time.
But I do find my mind remains,
Healthy, free of nonsense and clear...
As if I could hear the sounds of distant bells.

Well,
Some have said to me...
Those bells I hear are not so distant.
As if to imply 'something' sarcastic.
And I can't tell the difference.
