A Menace To Those Unconscious

I've been Black for a while now.
So I am accustomed,
To having my intelligence questioned.
Even by those who have not proven,
To have any at all.
I am 'suspected' to be able to think!

I often thought if I was a thief,
I'd be extremely dangerous.
But I chose honesty!
Which leaves my designation,
As just a threat.
A menace to those unconscious.
