Time and Dreams

Time sails a blue pillow
We dream of what we wasted
Polemics enter into entropy
Decisions are doors long shut
What’s left is our life

Water the plants in the dry room
Optimism rises like a wise moon
Sit by the fire and hear the wolves
Hollow days end with your smile
I am the vulnerable paradox

Fall leaves cling to the summer
She is dressed in precarious black
Volatile as the capricious wind
The mirror of life glows in moonlight
We smile with weary journeys

Plans on a winter’s circle
Streams of melting snow
Flowers carried in an old carriage
Poems written with quills
Hope sighs in forests of time

Time is nothing without dreams
