Someone Waits

Language of ancient fire
Eyes evoke deep centuries
Sanctuary of blue sapphires
Free from religious treachery
Golden stairs ripple the heavens
All is torn down in benevolence

Sacrosanct prisons where martyrs die
Innocent victims of political tyrants
Some how we must always cry
We must stop the beast and his sirens
Your hour comes to do someone good
Someone hurt and very misunderstood

The wind in this living dust stirs
See their eyes in your forlorn dreams
Riches pass with all their allure
The broken man lives in silent screams
Will you pass him and her by?
What is your purpose in life?

Someone waits for you and me
