Lovers By The Sea

Sometimes only the sea makes sense to me
All the morose of the world dissipates
Waves and tide seem so divine
Salt air and old fishing boats
Fog horns and clam shells
Constant change and all the kelp
Endless horizon and winding shore
Sunlight or moonlight the sea is mystery

I am losing contact with the world
With the selfish swirl
The money game
The quest for power
The affront and masquerade
But the sea has never waned
Seagulls still fascinate me
Like a poem I can't forget

The sea still makes sense to me
No names, position, no games
By the sea I feel a freedom
Like there is still away back home
Tonight the lighthouse is on
Thank you Lord for the sea
She walks like a dream on the shore
Lovers by the sea are pure beauty
