Epigram On Dido

When Dido found Aeneas could not come,
She mourned in silence, Dido diddle dumb,
He sailed half-mast away demeanour glum,
demeaned, her mind inclined four fingers, thumb: -
for lex in sex sends hex, backfires when drum
not gun is wanked, unthanked man droops, the sum
of impoliteness and poor taste where mum
maid must remain without becoming mum!
