Savoury effects

some writers write
as if they have all the
kitchen ware in their hands
so that when you read their work
you actually feel the ladle, the
frying pan, the egg beater,
the tweezers, the funnel,
can opener, rice cooker,
balloon whisk, apple slicer,
garlic press, grater,
and all imaginable tupperware
thrown right at your face
and when you ask him why,
'well, ' he conceitedly says,
'that's for their savoury effects.'
