A lost Glory

if only you can be nearer

but you are such a time away
to love you entraps

the familiar turns into a distance
relationships run eons away
and an oppressive silence eats one
up like a million years

your presence is a broken dream
with shards cutting the corners
of the heart

you are there, but only felt
not seen
even then, you run
so much away from me
as if you are too shy to meet

the world between us is
a vacuum of long long years
occupied by pains of a lost glory
