Suddenly A Memory

His encounter with
life so brief.

As the sun warmed
the waterS, he
was gone.

A mist evaporating
into the air.

As if a leaf, caught
in the wind,
carried him away.

Before my eyes he
vanished.

Suddenly a memory
of yesterday.
