Happy Days

How many days I have left I don't know,
But there is one thing I'm sure is so…
Whether there are few or many more,
I alone will decide what my life's for.
It's for being happy and spreading mirth,
Celebrating what I know I'm worth.

Life is so short there's no time to complain
That when things go wrong, it's all in vain.
A share of good and bad things will transpire
So when it seems hopeless and things are dire,
The difference between sad and happy I see
Is that character in the mirror called "me."
