Untitled II

Domestication's longing to return to the wild
destinies long journey into the wind
drums that beat in sacred rhythm
soulful guitar strings releasing the
anguish of the heart the torment
torn between conflict and desire
the slow leaves rusting atop the pavement
roots showing through concrete cracks
dust and dirt collected on the soles of bare feet
discipline of will runners preparing for the meet
