Spiritual gathering without mention of god!
Worshiping only the transcending power of togetherness!
Free rate give and take!
Cultural exchange without division of boarder!
A worldly feast! United People's Cuisine!
Creating our own unique overseas culture!

Polish sausage German potato salad
home made egg rolls and sauerkraut
Baby back ribs mac'ncheese
Down home soul food
Indian Puerto Rican and Cantonese!
O the pride shining in the grill sergeant's eyes!
Dutifully preparing each burger to order!
Sounds of crackling charcoal & sizzling steak!
Mingling aromas!
Sweet marinade!
Smokey Mesquite!
Stomach serenade!
Giddy grumblings
anticipating a rare or well done choice cut treat!
Parents palaver under canopy shade
e'er near always within vision range
barefoot through sprinklers the children gambade
A screaming smiling shivering
wide eyed excitement streaming parade!
Freeze tag
Ice cream cones
popsicles
Flavor medley well worth the brain freeze!
The sugar induced rush for the ice cream truck's
familiar melody
breathless chase
waving dollar bills
desperately shrieking 'hey wait! '
oh the rainbow acid trip trying to make a decision!
The unbearable end of line anticipation!
O but its worth it in the end
cool soft serve dripping down the chin!
Satisfying each individual taste bud
Each child wearing a melting mustache
above a sensational ear to ear grin!
The soft maternal spring
young mothers bouncing
sated infants in their laps,
others crying over the shoulder
hiccups promptly quelled
with a loving pat on the back
sour earth scent of new birth!
Fine mineral aroma of baby powder!
Mothers fathers brothers sisters
wives and husbands sons daughters
granted leave or furlough
others still in the field
away training simulated war games
At the front line of each mind
the name of a loved one engraved
O exaltation of reunion!
returning home from either the gulf or the horn!
American Vitality!
Single Unit Military family
finding homestyle familiarity
thousands of miles overseas!
The Human side of America's Foreign policy!
Upon seeing the splendor of the fireworks
I believe in inspiration through actions and words!
I detest all influence produced by bullets and bombs!
I believe in America!
I believe in ANY and ALL nations of PEOPLE!
