Poem for My Beloved

Mere thoughts of you are all I need
to remind me how inspiring love truly is
heaven sent is love, mysterious love
love defined by two people sharing caring
bearing individual souls
a love scarred by distances and longing

in a moment love is shared
outside the moment love is lost
returning to the moment
love finds its way back home

moments of love all immortalized in the mind
with heightened grieve and joy
played out a thousand times upon the
ever shifting stage of the heart

with this love I accept its heartbreak
from this love all I ask is inspiration
be it more than a dream designed to keep us going?
A destined path all souls travel without ever fully knowing?

Whatever it is, whatever it takes, wherever it takes me
I'll patiently wait till the moment arrives
that day I'll finally see my beloved's face

whether close by and intimate
or marked by separation and distances
the joys and pains for us
forever remain the same
