Cosmic Deliverance

Confined for a life time,
suffering blackcoffee ADD
adrenaline jitters,
suffocated in chainsmoke
cigarette stresses.
Now alone in the calm of emptyspace;
finding myself,
finally moving today future forward
seeing clearly past mistakes:
coming to realize my place
no more fasting and sacrificing
empty blindbegging mendicant palms
groping at the altar of art,
praying for life's bigbreak.

Now quickly back on my feet!
elevated wave - uplifting headrush,
slowly, I feel myself begin to regain
my balance.
Coming to find man cannot
sustain himself on art alone.
Such hollow living, haunted death
pursuing fruitless fame,
worshiping idle symbols and
glorified abstractions ahead of
life experience direct.

Years lost
youth abused
loves misplaced
forgotten birthdays
so many event-less holidays
celebrations and ceremonies
buried under the calendars crude stone.
Dreams tight squeezed,
confined to the controlled contents
of a single sparse room,
Canned sardine in a dead trawler' tomb,
Finding Deliverance 'neath the stellar threshold,
feeling reborn in the cosmic womb.
