Winter night

The wind and winter bites piercing
and I want to lie closer to you
and outside everything is quiet.

The moon hangs silver
and throws a dead light
and I feel how cold,
this winter really is.

Your hands are hot
when I touch them,
but feels icy
when you touch my body.

Somewhere in the distance
cars are passing,
but its peaceful
and nice and hot
in our bed.

Before I close my eyes
and disappear into sleep,
I thank God
that you love me
and for how marvellous
you really are.
