Rude awakening

Sometimes I could not decipher
the thoughts that you had of me
while you were in the bed
right next to me

and were angry
when I brought you food in bed
at half past nine
in the morning

and in your awakening
some rude things
came from that look
in your eyes
and the words
from your mouth

as if you wanted me
to leave you right there until noon
or maybe right up to
the next afternoon.
