Our Hearts Remain

a torrent of light
poured from your lips,
tastes like shadow

and something more,
undefined...
step by step,

we approach mortality,
with the finality of crossings,
made under duress...

what's left is dust,
turned amber in sunlight...
that bleaches the walls

with infinity's brush.
this, and no more,
certainly no less....

we have lived with passion,
our hearts remain!
