Bitterness

your tears uncried
shout at me from
across the room...

or from across
the great divide.
i cant turn back the seasons...

cant keep the leaves
from turning... or
you hair...

were the cries in the night
the birth of a new cosmos,
or just lies written

with invisible ink?
you open your mouth
and cobwebs fall....

the reflection of fire
doesnt warm the room;
the sound of the whispers

haunts my dreams.
