Your Smile

You live with me.
I see your face.
It never goes away.

And why would it?
It cannot leave
for I shall make it stay.

I shall dwell upon your smile.
I cannot let it go
to a place that's far away.

For I would die without it
a little every minute
and you would hear me say,

'I'm desolate without your smile.
You must not take it away,
not now or on any other day.'
