Union

The bride walks down
the lonely aisle.
But in the distance
she sees his smile.
Slowly she approaches
and knows full well
that in that smile
is where she'll dwell.

The groom stands proudly,
his eyes aglow.
And in the distance
with steps so slow
he sees the one
whose heart is his
to have and to hold.
And in the union
there lies the gold.
