Success

Tangled tresses,
messy dresses,
that's how I go to school.

Eyes all staring,
all comparing,
kids can be so cruel.

Mom too busy,
in a tizzy,
She treats me like a fool.

Brain all yearning
for some learning
so I can be real cool.

No one listening,
my eyes glistening,
I've learned the golden rule.

Pay no attention,
never mention
that I'm stubborn as a mule.

Keep on trying,
'til I'm dying,
This will be my tool

to success.
