So What Is Life?

When all that's left is the earth and sea
what then will become of me?
Will I travel beyond in a deep dark sleep
or sink to the very bottom of the deep?
Will my soul take form in another place
and gift me with another face?
I cannot fathom the answer I seek.
But these are inherit- ants of the meek.

So what is life? What can it be?
Surely not just the earth and sea.
And if I find that that's the case,
I shall not vex over the human race.
