On Sleeping Too Late

On the days that still remain with me
I fear I sleep too late.
I must shorten those sleeping hours
because I have a date
with finality and endless sleep.
And all the things I love to do
will suddenly be no more.
I try so hard to remedy this
but alas, here comes the snore.
