My Troubled Friend

My troubled friend
there is no end
to trials on this earth.

Don't cry aloud
amongst the crowd.
Keep silent all your tears.

Think of goodness.
Think of peace
Never allow these thoughts to cease.

Men are cruel.
They play the fool
and fail to come alive.

And as they play
they have their way
and never do they strive
for peace.

My troubled friend
there is an end
when you have found your worth.
