As I Imagine
What's over the mountain I do not know?
I've never traveled there.
And so in my mind it can be anything
as into the distance I stare.
I'm sure it must be beautiful
with valleys of green below,
cottages built on rolling hills
and endless streams that flow.
The air must be cleaner, the grass much greener
and all of my imaginings
tell me to be there would validate my thoughts
of a place that's fit for Kings.
And this is what the mind can do,
create any scene it desires.
And so I choose to imagine beauty,
of this one never tires.
So to keep this picture the way I perceive it
I will not travel there.
This way I'm free from disappointment
as I continue to stare.
