A Quick Escape
He left her at the altar.
He really had no choice.
She constantly was talking
and she never heard his voice.
It seemed she never listened
to what he had to say.
She made her views all known to him
on every single day.
Where they'd live, what they'd eat
and who their friends would be.
And right before the wedding
her thought 'what's wrong with me? '
If we marry I'll become
a puppet on her string.
And so he never showed up
but he kept the ring.
He placed it in a box
and kept it in his room.
He hoped he'd find another
to make him want to be a groom.
