Sonnet: The Administrator’s Chair

’Tis sad how selfishness engulfs the heart
Of men who sit as administrators;
For neither, they already know the art,
Nor want to learn or become orators.

To add to it, avarice complicates;
They venture to settle accounts with foes;
With time, their academic work abates,
Leaving a disgruntled mind, full of woes.

Misusing powers of their high office,
They scheme to suppress ones they never like;
And dash to earth while staying just novice;
Their voice is unheard even with a mike!

Beware of the luxury-attached chair!
A man will breathe a polluted foul-air.
